Welcome to Mosaic Reels, the first vertical microdrama platform built by and for Black women. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CMD Enterprises LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of Mosaic Reels. By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Mosaic Reels is a streaming platform that delivers short-form vertical video series ("Series") through our mobile applications, our website at mosaicreels.com, and any related features (collectively, the "Service"). Episodes are typically 60 to 90 seconds and are organized into Series across genres including CEO romance, revenge arcs, and supernatural drama. The first seven (7) episodes of each Series are available at no cost; additional episodes may require a subscription, the purchase of in-app coins, or other paid access as described in the app.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at info@mosaicreels.com of any unauthorized use.
3. Subscriptions, Coins & Purchases
3.1 Free Episodes
Episodes 1 through 7 of every original Series are free to stream. No payment, subscription, or in-app purchase is required to access them.
3.2 Paid Access
Beyond Episode 7, continued viewing may require an active subscription or the purchase of in-app coins or tokens (collectively, "Coins"). Coins have no monetary value outside the Service, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
3.3 Billing & Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. All purchases are processed through the platform you use to access the Service (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), and are subject to that platform's billing terms. You may manage or cancel a subscription through your platform account settings.
3.4 Refunds
Except where required by law or the policy of the platform through which you purchased, all sales of subscriptions and Coins are final and non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store or Google Play purchases must be submitted directly to Apple or Google.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, modify, or create derivative works of any Series or other content without our express written permission;
- Record, download, screen-capture, or rebroadcast episodes by any means not made available within the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, models, or underlying ideas from the Service;
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the Service or collect data from it;
- Bypass or interfere with any access controls, geographic restrictions, or content protection;
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, dox, or defame any person, including cast, crew, creators, or other viewers;
- Upload, post, or transmit any content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise objectionable;
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or share your account credentials with anyone else.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Content
All Series, episodes, scripts, scores, artwork, logos, trademarks, software, and other materials made available through the Service are owned by CMD Enterprises LLC or our licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view our content for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment via the Service. No other rights are granted.
5.2 Your Submissions
If you submit comments, ratings, feedback, or other materials to us or through the Service ("User Submissions"), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute those submissions in any media for any purpose related to operating, promoting, or improving the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Submissions do not violate the rights of any third party.
5.3 Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice that complies with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to info@mosaicreels.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice."
6. Third-Party Platforms
If you access the Service through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a similar third-party platform, your use is also subject to that platform's terms. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you with respect to your use of the corresponding app. We — not Apple or Google — are solely responsible for the Service and its content.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we believe your conduct creates risk for us, our users, or our content partners, or if we discontinue any part of the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the in-app settings or by emailing info@mosaicreels.com. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — will survive.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CMD ENTERPRISES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CMD Enterprises LLC, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally within 30 days of written notice will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You and we each waive any right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
